Our Company
Microfol Compounding GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1996 as a subsidiary of Microcolor Masterbatch GmbH. It was specifically designed and targeted for the production of compounds. Commercial production started in 1998.
Following the first years during which sales and marketing were effected exclusively via the parent company Microcolor Masterbatch GmbH, Microfol’s head office was transferred from Thuringia to Bavaria in 2007 as part of a substantial enlargement of production capacity, and the admin departments of the two companies were separated.
A new, modern production plant together with the admin department was constructed and occupied at Lichtenfels in Bavaria. Its large production capacity will allow the company to take the step towards a future independent market position separate from the parent company.
As a result of the many customer-specific developments and solutions which have been achieved, the company has acquired a high reputation in the market sector and we intend to do justice to it also in the future.
